Saturday 5 September 2026 Waterfall City Park, Midrand 7am – 4pm
Families on a pram walk in the park

It is not a race. It is a day made for your family.

Pramathon first ran in 2019 with about 500 families. It is back for 2026 with the same simple idea: get outside, push the pram, and spend real time with your kids.

It is a day built around parents and the little people who run them. The morning opens with a gentle 2.5 km walk around Waterfall City Park, then the day stays open: food, music, a market, a Clamber Club play zone and plenty of lawn to relax on. Bring the kids, bring the grandparents, and stay as long as you like.

The day

The 2.5 km walk opens the morning. After that it is a full day of family entertainment, and one ticket covers all of it.

Walk for fun, and for a cause

Pramathon supports Cotlands and its work in early childhood development, the first building block for a healthy, happy child.

Bring along any old prams, baby clothes, books or toys you no longer need and drop them at the Cotlands donation station on the day. A small clear-out at home, a real difference for another family.

Good to know

Questions parents ask

What time should we arrive?

Gates open at 7:00am and the first walk batch sets off at 7:30am, with walking in batches until 11am. The festival then runs until 4pm, so arrive, register and set off whenever you are ready.

What does my ticket include?

One ticket covers the 2.5 km walk and the whole day of entertainment: the Clamber Club zone, craft stations, live music, the market and everything else on the lawns. Pram & Pusher is R380, adults R250, ages 7 to 18 are R80, and under-6s are free.

Is it only a walk?

No. The 2.5 km walk opens the morning, then it becomes a full-day family festival with a Clamber Club play zone, craft stations, food trucks, a gin bar and craft beer for the grown-ups, live music and a handcrafted market.

Do I need to be fit?

Not at all. It is a walk first, at your own pace, on a flat and pram-friendly route. Push one loop or three; it is entirely up to your family.

Can I bring the grandparents?

Please do. Pramathon is built for the whole family. Last time, 80% of everyone there joined the walk: grannies, grandpas, moms, dads and older kids.
